Proofs on the way!

Hello Guys
Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be receiving printing proofs for the first two issues with in the next couple of days. I can't wait to see what the artwork looks like in actually physical comic book form!
On another note I finally got to draw a new character that has only been a character design on a sticky note next to my night stand...was that a run on? onto the pages of issue 3. Here he is I hope you guys dig him!

Hey Guys

Just wanted to do a quick update, I am well into the 3^rd issue and I am having so much fun!  This issue begins to show the real scope of this story and you’ll see that immediately in the first couple of pages.

The Third Issue

Kickstarter Update - Half way to goal!

Happy Friday 

I am very happy to say we have pushed past the halfway mark and are well on our way to making goal! I want to thank you guys again for backing and getting the words out to all your friends, sharing the project on your facebook has made a huge difference so keep it up!

Progress on the books is going great! I am finished with the first two issues and getting my hooks into the 3^rd issue as I write this! I hope you guys are as pumped as I am!

Issue Number 3 Cover Reveal

I don't normal draw a cover before an issue is at least 5 pages away from being complete, but I need to have at least 3 covers to show for the upcoming Kickstarter Commercial. Whats that mean to you? Well it means you get to see the cover art  for the first three installments!

The October Update!

I can’t believe I’ve gone almost the whole month without posting an update! But I have a good reason, issue 2 is a few pages from being complete, and my good friend Brandon and I have been working on my Kickstarter commercial! I am very thankful that he is lending his talents to this project and can’t wait to share it with you guys!

Redraw Dat Page!

Hey Guys

Last post of September the 2nd issues only a few pages away from being done! Im on Page 15 right now and this is the 2nd time that I've totally completed the line art only to lay it all out on the page and realize it just doesn't work.  The old me would have been frustrated at having to redraw a whole page, but I've found that it comes out so much better the 2nd time around that its totally worth it, plus drawings fun! Anyways here are two of the panels I've redraw for page 15 I hope you guys dig em.

The Art and Inspiration

Well…I love animals which is one of the reasons I choose animals instead of humans to tell this story. Here is a side by side, of the artwork for a character in the 2^nd issue and the real life animal that inspired it. Unlike the artwork this Orangutan seems to have such kind and very human eyes.

Lasher - Colored Character Design

Here’s a little sneak peak of a chameleon villain character featured in Issue #1.  He features the power to virtually disappear and has a chain mounted mace for a tongue, fun a?  Look for a colored version of this creepy little guy in a future blog entry. 

New Sketchbook Entry

Hello Guys

The first issue is still being edited but should be done by the end of the week. I have page 1-5 sketched out for issue #2 which will reveal this guy, the main villain of the mini series. He won’t have any super powers so to speak of, but instead will have the power of influence over others.  He has a silver tongue if you will.

Here are two character designs for villains appearing in the second issue of the Kingdom. These are just colored line art from my Sketchbook hence the missing legs and feet. I'm tempted to just add some legs on here looks odd ha!

Branding the Kingdom

In this post, I wanted to feature the Logo for "The Kingdom". Being a graphic designer myself, I know the importance and power of a logo that stands out and is instantly recognizable.  So I began playing around with logo ideas around page 15 or so. I did a little comic book cover research and finally after 4 variations I decided on this final version. I hope you guys like it!
