The Hunt Begins...

Hello Boys and Girls, its been too long! I hope this update finds you all rested and well. 

Few things to update you guys on. Firstly Kingdom Issue 5 is complete! The book is being proofed for grammar and should be ready for print in the next few days. Which leads me to my next update and inspiration for the blog title. Unfortunately IC Geeks has closed their doors for good. It was one of those things that was too good to last and we are all sorry to see it go, Noel is a great guy and I wish him all the best! That being said, I have to look for a new printer to print Issues 5 and 6 T.T If anyone knows of a high quality printer that wont break the bank please let me know!

Finally i'll end on some good news ^_^

As some of you may know I have been working on two titles at the same time. I am finishing up Kingdom and starting a new Mini Series called "Vamped" with writer Donny Broussard. I have completed the first issue of Vamped as well, and I am already 5 pages into issue 2 so stay tuned for more updates on that title as well.

Nola Con Update!

Hey Guys!

We had a blast at Nola Wizard Con 2012. This was Donny and I's first con and we learn a lot, made some great new friends and got to hang out with our buddies!

The Vamped Preview, went over really well and we ran out very early on.

I was able to sell just under 60 books and sold all but one of the sketches I was doing while were there. All in all I think it was a great event and look forward to the next one.

I will continue to keep everyone up to date on the issue 5 and 6 produciton process, thanks for checking  us out!

It's that time again guys...

Well we got the comics ordered the banners ordered, business cards ordered, the table number (1106) and the hotel rooms booked for NOLA Con 2012...

Now we just have to bite our nails and sweat it out hoping the comics show up on time for the event or the whole thing is a bust *~*

I have faith that it will all work out but I'm still nervous none the less, anyways keep your fingers crossed for us and hopefully my next post will be photos of use and the books at the Con!

Gearing Up for Nola Con!

Hey Guys

I am hard at work here, in fact I have had tunnel vision for the kingdom for almost 2 years now. The fifth books line art is complete and the story has taken me for much further than I had expected and I am so happy with what this book has become, I have a basic outline done for issue 6 (which is gonna be a supersized issue by the way) and i am looking to go into full production for that book in the next few weeks.

In the mean time I just finished the 10th of 10 special sneak peek of the next project I am working on called "Vamped"! I had a little trouble going from animal people to people...people but I feel good about what I've done and I cant wait to share what Donny and I are working on at Nola Con. We will have 200 free comic previews of issue 1, but dont fret if you can't make it we'll have the preview available on the website as well.

So if your in the New Orleans area make sure you guys swing by I will have issues 1-4 for sale for the Kingdom and we will have free copies (1 per person, while supplies last)!

Where Dat dudes been at?

Hey Guys

Sorry for I've been aways from the blog...

Q.Where you been at?

A. Well I'm glad you asked uh hum I mean "Axed" I have been working on the 5th issue of the Kingdom over the last 4 weeks and I have just 4 more pages of line art before the book is ready for color! So I am very excited about that.

Q. But what about issue 4?

A. Issue four has been completed for sometime now and we are having a release party this Saturday with two fantastic artist that I have the pleasure of calling me friends: Kody Chamberlin of "Sweets" and Rob Guillory of "Chew" will be at the release party for issue 4 so make sure you guys come by and say hi!

Q. Whats next?

A. I am currently in pre-production for a new comic book series being written by Donny Broussard called "Vamped". Vamped is a fun filled vampire tale told through the eyes of Nerd and will be filled full of fun nerd culture references while telling a fun horror story!

Oh and one last thing guys, I'll be at New Orleans Comic con with a table this year, more details on that in the next post!

Line art for Issue 4 is complete!

Happy Friday Guys!

I have finally completed the line art for issue number 4 of the kingdom! This issue was actually 24 pages long, instead of the usually 22 which I feel will become the norm for the last 3 issues. I had a lot of fun with this one, and cant wait till it goes to print.

I decided the first version of this issues cover was boring, for one and didnt really look like Pale so I redid that as well (see above) and Im really happy with the way it came out. I hope you guys enjoy the sneak peak of the the cover, and will help me out by sharing this post on your facebooks!

Good Morning All you beautiful backers!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, however it is due to my made dash to completing issue number 4 as well as some other big news.

I am very happy to announce the official launch of the Kingdom website www.thekingdomcomic.com where you’ll be able to purchase all 6 books as they are completed. The first 3 are available now! (I’m working on a shopping cart that will combine shipping, please bar with me ^_^.  Issue 3 has arrived and will be going out to the higher level kickstarters, so look for it in your mail box within the next week!
I want to thank Chris Smith of www.hardcoreluchador.com for lending his great graphic design and programming skills to getting the site up and running!

Finally I want to feature an incredible important Kickstarter project by my friend Noel Burns who publishes the Kingdom as well as several other fantastic Titles. He is on a mission to bring Indie comics to Brick and Mortar stores all over the country which would really revolutionize the industry and allow books that would otherwise fall through the cracks share the same shelf space as the big boys, I really hope you guys will check out his Kickstarter and support what he is trying to do, thanks again to everyone!
